Hi,

In my application, I would like to enable one option for admin to select the language for replying according to the user/client typed language. How to enable this option and change language typing.

My idea is to change this tag in JSP .

Here if we can change telugu.js to hindi.js or tamil.js Etc., on admin language selection we can achive this.
(or)
Complete replace of above tag with hindi or tamil tag.

can we do this change using java script???

provide me the sample code.

I hope u understand my problem.

can u explain me how do this for same session and single, same page reload with out previous session change.

Hi Vijay,

Instead of handling it in JSP, you can achieve this in JavaScript itself.

1) Include all the language and common js files of the converter in the

section

2) Add the following script below the above code in the

section. The below function switchLang will set the value of the language which comes in to immediate effect without re-submitting the page.

3) Add the list box for language selection where ever you want in your

section of your JSP page (of course you make this section to appear only for admin users in JSP).

Hi,

I am not sure why its not working for you. It works perfectly for me at https://higopi.com/ucedit/Multi.html

Please post me the URL or the related files to understand the issue properly. The issue may be with some other javascript code you are using along with the above code. As JavaScript is a interpreted language, it will stop at the point where error occurs and it wont proceed further until the error is corrected.

thanks for the reply, and it was in development mode so no url i can post

the code is like

$("#Language").change(function() {

switchLang($("#Language").val());
});
actually in my select there is a option like english also so when select english
then coming back to the one of languages im getting error
so how to disable converter for english(because no need )
and enable for the other languages

Hi,

I think now I got the fix... There is one more js file you need to include.

Above js file is a must even if you do not have English option in your select box. Because, this file contains the reverse map for converting between languages.

Try it out and let me know if this issue is fixed. If the issue is not fixed, please paste me the JavaScript error you get due to this issue.

thanks i got it

but i need one more help in my site im using tinymce editor for the same text area

so at the same time both should work that is not there now if you give u any suggestion or solution it would be helpfull for so many people

Hi,

My converters will not work with RichText boxes like tinyMCE editor. I tried to come up with a different version of my converters to be compatible with RichText boxes but I could not fix it till now.

I heard New Horizon Media (http://software.nhm.in) is coming up with a converter compatible with RichText boxes. Please try to reach them using the contact provided in their website. They may have more information about it.
